Heidi Smets has never thought much of staying inside the lines. Born and raised in the Netherlands, she soon moved beyond those borders, traveling extensively while earning a degree in sustainable tourism. Years of working in the tourism and creative industries has brought her to many places, and honed her habit of looking at the world through a variety of lenses. Heidi later earned a degree in Graphic Design and now lives in Seattle where she brings a Dutch design sensibility and an appreciation for global aesthetics to her design work for print, web, and interactive projects.

Over the years Heidi has designed for many corporate and non-profit clients, including: YMCA of Greater Seattle, King County, Microsoft, Edelman, Callison, Seattle Tilth, MOHAI, becker&mayer!, The Mountaineers Books, Skipstone Press, Rushing, Washington Technology Center, and Allrecipes.com.

She also worked as a freelance designer for several design and communicaton firms: PRR, Pyramid Communications, Graphica and Blankslate Creative.
